Helpdesk Support Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Do you have a background in technology support?  Do you have a strong customer service background? Then check out the Helpdesk Support Technician position in the department of Information Technology Services at The Citadel College.

This role will:

  • Work as a member of The Citadel’s Information Technology Services team to provide technical IT phone and remote support to the College’s Faculty, Staff, and Students.
  • Responsible for performing daily tasks through The Citadel’s IT ticket system
  • Remotely discovering and resolving IT software issues: including virus removal, software installation, account assistance, and computer diagnostics and trouble-shooting.
  • Responsible for the development of The Citadel’s IT Knowledge Base.
  • Record processes to relay standard information to entire ITS staff.
  • Recognize and identify trend issues in The Citadel’s community and participate in the resolution of such issues.

 

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree
  • One-year technical experience in computer system design, development, maintenance, and management OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Windows operating systems technical skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills; strong commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

CompTIA A+ Certification
