Job Responsibilities

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina seeks a innovative leader to serve as Director of Executive & Professional Education. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing non-credit executive education and professional development programs that deliver high-impact learning experiences for professionals, executives, and organizational partners. This is a two-year contract position, with the potential to become a full-time equivalent (FTE) role after the initial term. This role will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and implement strategic executive education programs, policies, and offerings aligned with institutional goals.
  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and logistics for all programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote programs and drive enrollment using data-driven strategies.
  • Recruit and support faculty and subject matter experts; ensure instructional excellence.
  • Monitor program performance, implement improvements, and report to senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Leadership, or related field.
    • Minimum 5(five) years of experience in executive education, professional development, or corporate training.
    • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in a related field.
    • Experience in higher education or corporate learning environments.
    • Familiarity with instructional design and adult learning principles.
