Administrative Specialist - Office of Admissions
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Administrative Specialist in the Office of Admissions. This position serves as the primary point of contact for prospective cadets, families, school counselors, and campus visitors and plays a key role in supporting the recruitment and admissions process for The Citadel's Corps of Cadets program.
The Administrative Specialist provides front-line customer service and administrative support for the Office of Admissions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The successful candidate will possess strong customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least a high school diploma and previous administrative experience required. This position requires a person who can handle many tasks at one time, is able to be flexible, can work independently and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to function as a collegial member of a team and demonstrate high levels of organization and coordination of multiple tasks at once.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of college admissions requirements and procedures is highly desirable, but not required.
