The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a 12-month part-time Project Manager for the Anita Zucker Institute for Entrepreneurial Educational Leadership. This position will work closely with the director to oversee the functions of the institute and achieve the following goals: 

  1. Strategic and systemic thinking for change
  2. Collaborative environments for faculty and students 
  3. Increased capacity and collective self-efficacy in schools 
  4. Improved culture  
  5. Connections and programs with schools and the communities they serve 
  6. Connections to workforce development initiatives 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all district professional learning to include securing facilities and resources needed.
  • Set up for professional learning, where appropriate.
  • Communicate with all district contacts regarding professional learning.
  • Communicate with fellows regarding professional learning once secured.
  • Assist in managing budgets for the institute.
  • Maintain repository of curricula for professional learning.
  • Evaluation with stakeholders.
  • Assist with compilation of data for sessions and districts.
  • Marketing the services of the institute.
  • Assist in planning and executing the Education Forum.
  • Scheduling committee meetings.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an academic community.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Marketing experience.
  • Budgeting knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education or an advanced degree.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Experience with educational or scientific research.
  • Experience with event planning.
