JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Citadel invites applications for the position of Battalion TAC Non-Commissioned officer in the Commandant Department.   As the Senior enlisted advisor to a Battalion TAC Officer the TAC NCO will be responsible for, but not limited to:  forming and building a strong cadet battalion leadership team that promotes a high level of military bearing and discipline; coordinating and synchronizing daily events and schedules with four company TACs; enforcing standards and Cadet regulations; conducting drill and ceremony; training and mentoring future leaders; and executing high standards of physical fitness.  Additionally, the candidate serves as a role model and provides coaching and counsel to cadet leaders within the battalion. 

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Must have extensive active and/or reserve military service and recently served successfully in the grade of E-7 to E-9.  Present a high level of military appearance and possess a level of physical fitness and conditioning that allows participation with cadets during physical training. 

Must have knowledge of military organizations, leadership, training, discipline, physical fitness and drill and ceremonies.  Must possess the ability and desire to mentor, advise, coach, teach, train and counsel college student leaders in a military college environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree preferred. Drill Sergeant and/or ROTC experience in a college setting is desired.

The candidate must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
