Job Responsibilities

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking a Senior Applications Analyst.  Under the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure, the Senior Applications Analyst supports the campus enterprise computer systems. In addition, the role will also be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as Leader/Technical Expert for assigned Banner modules; provide advanced analysis, design & other support for these complex enterprise mission critical application systems.
  •  Provides backup support for other modules; assist with Document Imaging, Workflow & other complementary or integrated applications; understand functionality of all systems.
  • Consults with department liaisons/users as a technical expert for their departmental/division applications, implementations & integrations.
  •  Leads collaborative efforts and actively participate in user teams; solve programming, design & troubleshooting issues escalated by the other analysts. 
  • Analyzes, coordinates, develops and supports integrations and interfaces among the campus applications especially with the most complex integrations; ensure data integrity through these integrations.
  • Collaborate with users to identify needs, analyze possible vendor-developed solutions & develop in-house new functionality/modifications to existing functionality to meet needs. 
  • Develop implementation schedules, tracks milestones and system completion deadlines, maintains a prioritized list of pending project and programming tasks, and provides accurate personnel resource estimates.
  • Assists in establishing backup strategies, scheduling, and recovery procedures for ERP operational data.
  • Develops tight security methodologies within all systems i.e., user authentication, authorization validation, audit trails, etc.; work closely with DBA, IT Infrastructure staff, Network Engineering, & Auditors to guarantee security measures; ensure data integrity & protection.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field OR related/relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with Higher Ed or other ERP systems.
  • Extensive analyst & management skills essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer programming languages (For example, PL/SQL,  JAVA, JavaScript, React, and .NET);
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Familiarity with integration methods such as REST APIs, SQL exports, SFTP file transfers, and middleware.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in computer system development & modification is preferred. Knowledge of Banner ERP is desirable. Experience w/programming to relational DB's (Oracle & MSSQL) preferred.
  • Knowledge of variety of operating systems (Linux & Windows) preferred).
