General Application/Programmer Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel is seeking an internal only General Application/Programmer Analyst to join the Information Technology Services Department. This role will focus on data governance and reporting, utilizing Evisions Argos as the primary reporting tool. Additionally, the position will provide support campus functional areas and their use of the Banner ERP and its ancillary SaaS tools such as Ellucian Experience, Ethos APIs, and Data Connect. This support includes programming, implementation, and integration of vendor applications.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area is preferred along with experience in computer system development & modification. Related and relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
  • Extensive analyst skills and effective oral & written communications skills are essential. Leadership and Team collaboration skills are necessary.
  • Working knowledge of computer programming languages (For example, PL/SQL, JAVA, .NET and PowerShell). 
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Developer.
  • Knowledge of enterprise programming and project management methodologies
  • Ability to work with users, staff members & vendors
  • Aptitude for learning/teaching peers new technology and the ability to plan, organize, and follow-through multiple projects.
  • Some occasional travel for professional development, conferences and meetings may be required. Some after-hours support required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Evisions Argos.
  • Knowledge of Banner ERP.
  • Experience with programming to relational DB's (Oracle) preferred.
  • Experience using Argos and Banner ERP is preferred.
