Job Responsibility

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a dynamic person to work as an Administrative Assistant for the Dean of the Zucker School of Education.  This role is responsible for a variety of complex administrative support duties which will interface college leaders, alumni, donors and community members. These duties will include the following:

  • Serves as the communication hub of the department will disseminate information to administration, faculty, staff, and/or students
  • Maintain fiscal management of departmental index/accounts in Banner (e.g., reconciling purchases to financial services reports, tracking income, expenditures, purchase card reconciliation, and transfers to financial services reports
  • Prepares and processes Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) contracts and invoicing for School District Cohorts 
  • Support faculty with their multiple instructional needs; providing information, locating materials, helping in test preparation, correspondence, ordering supplies and assisting with other resources.
  • Will assist with reserving rooms for meetings; develops minutes of numerous SOE and professional education meeting to document actions necessary for accreditation purposes
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff to submit travel prior approval and reimbursements for faculty and staff in accordance with The Citadel’s policies and procedures
  • Will assist with planning and managing events such as Wall of Fame, Education Forum and alumni events
  • Will work on processing additional pay (faculty overload, dual employment, etc.)
  • Manage the time management system for hourly related employees

 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma AND at least three years of related office experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft office suites. Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in business preferred.
