Job Responsibilities

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is currently accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates for adjunct faculty assignments. These positions may be temporary, part-time, and/or on-call, with appointments made either immediately or as departmental needs arise.

This posting is intended to create a pool of candidates for future part-time teaching opportunities and is not for a specific assignment or a full-time faculty position.

Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Required Physical Education (RPED) activity courses. Course offerings may include, but are not limited to, weight training, swimming, first aid/CPR, racquet sports, yoga, archery, golf, martial arts, and other physical activity and wellness courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree and relevant professional, coaching, military, or instructional experience in the subject area. Some courses may require applicants to hold appropriate professional certifications or licenses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Relevant professional, coaching, or instructional experience.
  • Current professional or nationally recognized certifications applicable to the course being taught.
