Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel's Department of Intelligence and Security Studies is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time teaching positions for undergraduate and/or graduate positions. Courses are offered during the day and online throughout the academic year (fall, spring, and summer). All adjunct positions are per session appointments. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Abiding by and upholding the Citadel's mission, policies, and core values.

- Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such as presentations, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of instructional delivery. 

- Preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with program standards and in collaboration with the program coordinator.

- Completing student assessments required for program completion.

- Meeting all scheduled class periods, being available to students for individual consultations, submitting grades by the specified due date.

- The Citadel requires faculty to submit midterm grades for undergraduate students as well as utilize the Attendance and Class Absence System for undergraduate students. 

Minimum Qualifications:

- Doctoral degree is required to teach graduate courses and a Master's degree is required to teach undergraduate courses.

- Three years teaching experience at the elementary, middle grades, secondary, and/or college level.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills. 

- Experience in designing courses and materials.
