Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a Dry Cleaning and Laundry Customer Service Supervisor.  This role will work independently under the supervision of the Director.  The Dry Cleaning/Laundry Service supervisor will be responsible for the following:

• Oversees the customer facing operations of the Dry-Cleaning and Laundry department including the Thrift Store; makes sure the spaces are attractive, clean, and safe.
• Operates point-of-sale system and accounts for garments from customer drop off to customer pick up.
• Prepares daily sales reports and accounts for cash receipts.
• Collaborates with other team members to ensure customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience.
• Resolves complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Directs, supervises, and trains new employees in the area
• Sets work schedules and ensures the customer service counter is staffed during operating hours.
• Communicates expectations and standards of performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in business management, retail sales management, or related field and previous customer service experience OR a high school diploma and direct work experience in the field may substitute for an associate’s degree. Ability to utilize a point-of-sale system and process cashier transactions. Ability to utilize Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to communicate effectively and keep accurate records. Ability to plan, direct, and review the work of subordinates. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

Dry Cleaning and Laundry experience preferred. Knowledge of textile and garment care preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
