Job Responsibilities
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a General Application/Programmer Analyst (hybrid) in the Information Technology Services Department. This position primary responsibility will be Banner 9 to include, customization from multiple departments. A second area will be to support programming, implementation, and integration support for vendor applications and related in-house customization and enhancements. Will maintain tight security in areas of responsibility and working closely with IT systems and networking staff; research, communicate, and implement new systems or modules as well as coordinate with the analyst team, users, vendors and other IT staff.
Serve as General Application/Programmer Analyst for the campus enterprise administrative computer systems. Provides the analytical, programming, implementation, and integration support for vendor applications and related in-house customizations and enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related area and experience in computer system development & modification. Related and relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Extensive analyst skills essential. Effective oral & written communications skills essential. Team collaboration skills are necessary.
Working knowledge of computer programming languages (For example, PL/SQL, Visual Basic, C++, COBOL, HTML, JAVA, .NET and Web Programming).
Good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Developer. Experience with jQuery/JavaScript, using IntelliJ Idea Ultimate and GitHub leadership & management skills; knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing; knowledge of enterprise programming methodologies; knowledge of project management methodologies; ability to work with users, staff members & vendors; aptitude for learning/teaching peers new technology; knowledge of servers and PC technologies; ability to plan, organize, and follow-through multiple projects; knowledge of variety of operating systems (Linux & Windows) preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Banner 9, Cognos and experience with programming to relational DB's (Oracle) preferred. Knowledge of Banner ERP desirable. Linux & Windows preferred.
Some occasional travel for professional development, conferences and meetings may be required. Some after-hours support required.
