The Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures welcomes applications for adjunct instructors to teach basic through intermediate undergraduate German courses at The Citadel for Fall 2023 and beyond. Course availability varies depending on schedule and departmental needs. The Citadel’s goal is to build long-term relationships with high-quality part-time faculty members who are committed to developing principled, well-rounded leaders who appreciate the value of being culturally and linguistically proficient in world languages other than their own.

This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

The position requires near native fluency in both English and German. A Master's degree in German or a Master's degree in another subject with 18 hours of graduate-level study in German or an equivalent is required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with undergraduate teaching and the learning management system Canvas preferred.
